<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1772793871687Photo 2.jpg" style="width:960px;display:block;height:auto" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Handout</div>MANILA — IKEA Philippines will donate up to P1 million from soft toy sales in March and April to support social and environmental causes under its new campaign, Project Panchi Akap Pabalik.The initiative was inspired by Baby Panchi, also known as Punch, a macaque at Ichikawa City Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Japan who gained global attention after forming a bond with an IKEA Djungelskog orangutan soft toy when he was rejected by his mother at birth.Under the campaign, the furniture retailer said P50 from every soft toy purchased during the two-month period will go toward programs implemented with Better World Tondo.The donations will support initiatives focused on the welfare of vulnerable children, mental well-being programs, and wildlife conservation efforts, including the protection of the Philippine tarsier.IKEA Philippines said the project aims to extend the comfort associated with its soft toys beyond homes and into communities through partnerships with social and environmental organizations.The campaign runs until the end of April.
