MGI/Instagram </div>Just days before the start of Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars, one of its most anticipated candidates announced that she has backed out of the pageant.In an Instagram post on Tuesday, May 5, Venezuelan beauty queen Sthefany Gutierrez said she has &quot;made the difficult decision to withdraw&quot; from the competition, shocking pageant fans around the world. &quot;This has been a deeply considered decision, based on my personal and family responsibilities, which at this moment require my full attention and dedication,&quot; she said in her statement, which was released in both English and Spanish.Gutierrez thanked the MGI organization &quot;for the opportunity, for your patience, and for your unwavering commitment to excellence.&quot;She still hopes to join the pageant in the future, but nevertheless expressed confidence that &quot;will be brilliantly represented&quot; in the upcoming competition.<script async="" src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js"></script>It was in April when <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/pageants-beauty-queens/2026/4/14/sthefany-gutierrez-catriona-gray-s-runner-up-in-miss-universe-joins-mgi-all-stars-1424">Gutierrez was first introduced as a candidate of MGI All Stars</a>, which is set to gather pageant veterans from around the world in one stage. This competition kicks off in Thailand on May 16, with the coronation night set on May 30. This is different from the standard MGI, whose reigning queen is the Philippines&#x27; <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/pageants-beauty-queens/2025/10/18/emma-tiglao-scores-back-to-back-win-for-ph-in-miss-grand-international-2307">Emma Tiglao</a>.The inaugural MGI All Stars includes five delegates from the Philippines: former Miss Philippines Earth Imelda Schweighart, Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados, Miss International Queen 2022 Fuschia Ravena, Manila-based Brazilian beauty queen Alexia Nuñez, and Universal Woman Arabia 2025 Keylyn Trajano.Gutierrez is known to many as Venezuela&#x27;s representative in Miss Universe 2018, where she placed second runner-up to the Philippines&#x27; Catriona Gray.She gave birth to her first child in 2024, after marrying Venezuelan businessman Jorge Alfredo Silva Cardona.
