Despite the current political climate, the Philippines still has numerous tourist attractions, food options, and locally-made products to offer the international community.Some of them, such as the La Jolla Hotel and Beach Resort in Bataan, Tag Resort in Coron, and Paraiso de June Quixote Ecofarm Resort in Cavite, are unknown to the mainstream media but are all part of the highly anticipated 9th World Travel Expo.The World Travel Expo has gained popularity, particularly among individuals who enjoy traveling and are looking for trip packages that include reduced airfares and hotel accommodations.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1759878531181image0 (12).jpeg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/>World Travel Expo prepares for its 9th edition. Handout </div>Aside from getaway deals, World Travel Expo features local companies, well-known hotels, and travel agencies to round out the overall experience.This year&#x27;s edition is scheduled for October 17-19 at Space at One Ayala in Makati, followed by a second run from November 14-16 in Manila.“We are all aware of what is now happening in the country,” said Miles Caballero, organizer of the World Travel Expo. “However, I believe that now is the time to highlight what remains beautiful about the Philippines: the land, our people, and our hospitality. Because there is so much to be proud of and explore between Luzon and Mindanao.”“We need to work together more than ever to show the world that beauty still exists in the Philippines,” she continued, adding that everyone should come together for the greater good, Caballero is hoping that their forthcoming event will be a success as she is positive about the future of the nation despite the challenges.“Now, it&#x27;s much more difficult. Of course, we Filipinos remain optimistic. We continue to hope that things will become better in our nation,” she told ABS-CBN News.Attracting tourists and investments from other countries is their ultimate objective. “It&#x27;s challenging, but we&#x27;re always optimistic. Particularly in the Philippines&#x27; tourism sector, we never stop believing that everything will work out,” she said.The World Travel Expo organizer also discussed how their organization has evolved into a champion for tourist destinations throughout Visayas and Mindanao, not only Luzon.“We’re also promoting Cebu, Bohol, and Davao. Kasi magaganda talaga. And Cagayan de Oro also. Mayroon din silang places na mura. We’re also promoting their delicacies,” she said.Caballero also asked the local authorities to offer lower rates so that other Filipino travelers might visit other locations.“I hope our authorities would offer special deals, especially during the upcoming season. So that every Filipino can take a vacation in our other regions,” the AD Asia Events Group OPC executive concluded.The World Travel Expo will also feature entertaining activities, a raffle, and cultural displays. There will also be booths for lifestyle and regional products, as well as online competitions, such as the Content Creator Challenge and the Dance Your Destination Challenge, which will use participants&#x27; social media accounts.
