Photos from NYMA Talent Management</div>Food content creator Abi Marquez and Filipino-Italian chef Morris Danzen Catanghal are joining forces to highlight Filipino flavors at a food festival in Australia.The two are collaborating with South Melbourne-based café Nine Yards for the Boodle Brunch at the 2026 Melbourne Food &amp; Wine Festival.The Boodle Brunch offers a four-course communal feast that blends Filipino flavors with Australian ingredients in a style that reimagines the boodle-style, hands-only dining.The event is particularly significant for Marquez, dubbed as the &quot;Lumpia Queen,&quot; as it marks her first time cooking inside a professional restaurant kitchen.&quot;Cooking in a restaurant kitchen for the first time and doing it at Melbourne Food &amp; Wine Festival is an incredibly proud moment for me as a home cook from the Philippines,&quot; Marquez shared in a statement.&quot;This is a chance to share the joy, spirit, and creativity of Filipino food with a global audience,&quot; Marquez said, adding that she was grateful to Nine Yards and Catanghal for the collaboration.Meanwhile, Catanghal said he considered cooking as his &quot;way of connecting with people.&quot;&quot;When I present the flavors I grew up with, blending them with the native ingredients I have come to love in Australia, it feels like sharing a piece of my own journey,&quot; he said.The 2026 Melbourne Food &amp; Wine Festival will take place from March 20 to March 29, with the Boodle Brunch happening at Nine Yards on March 28.
