<p>60 years ago, Legazpi Village was a small barrio sustained by its residents’ small businesses. Today, it’s a high-end development with 250 condos, offices, and a long list of cafés. Legazpi is known for its gardens, restaurants, weekend markets, posh gyms, boutique shops, and running routes.</p><p>The neighborhood kept its penchant for small businesses in its coffee culture: you can still find international chains like Starbucks and Toby’s Estate, but the most prominent cafés are local passion projects.</p><p>ABS-CBN.com visited the neighborhood’s cafés to find some of Legazpi Village’s unique and unexpected creations. We chose Legazpi for the first edition of Coffee Crawl, a series where we explore the most unique coffee creations across different neighborhoods. As Philippine café culture continues to bloom, coffee drinkers are seeing more coffee shops pop up, offering more experimental and concoctions.
