He inspired the aficionados, young and old, who shaped the careers of many antique dealers who followed in his footsteps and led the way for generations of collectors.</p><p>Even though Baylosis was a renowned trader for a long time, he also accumulated a private collection that contains some of the most desirable items in the world of Philippine antiquities. These include representative artifacts from all over the country, like the large-scale ceremonial bowls, a canoe with a paddle, and an intricately carved miniature maritime galleon that nod to the Maranao seafaring heritage and distinctive wood carving and metal craft traditions.</p><p>Some of Baylosis’ beloved santos are listed for the ‘The Well-Appointed Life’ sale as well.
