MANILA -- Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski credited former Miss Universe winners Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray for inspiring her pageant journey.In her interview with Karen Davila for the ABS-CBN broadcaster&#x27;s vlog, Windorski said it was Wurtzbach who opened her eyes to pageantry, while Gray inspired her on how to use the title to champion causes.&quot;I haven&#x27;t met her (Gray) in person yet, but I was so kilig when I saw her congratulations post after I won Miss Universe Philippines. It was Pia Wurtzbach who gave me consciousness about Philippine pageantry... but Catriona, I was so inspired by how she uses the crown for change,&quot; Windorski said.She added: &quot;And the fact that our two most previous Miss Universes from the Philippines, both Pia and Cat, are so advocacy-driven, it&#x27;s just so amazing to me. And, I&#x27;m excited to continue their legacy.&quot;<div> </div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1782441589489Bea.JPG" style="width:655px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-dragging" width="655"/>Screen grab: YouTube/Karen Davila</div>Asked if she feels pressured by the fact that the Philippines has had several Miss Universe winners, Windorski said: &quot;I would say pressure is a privilege, and the fact that  Filipinos care so much is really what drives me forward to make sure I bring the best of what the Philippines has to offer to the international stage.&quot;&quot;And something interesting too is I&#x27;ve experienced both. I&#x27;ve experienced representing the US internationally, and that&#x27;s the country where we have a history of pageantry, but people don&#x27;t care as much, and I would say that indifference is harder to deal with than how much Filipinos care. The fact that they care is amazing, and I promise to ride this pressure to make sure I give the best performance possible,&quot; Windorski added.In the vlog, Windorski also opened up about her life in Wisconsin and her journey to joining beauty pageants.Windorski will represent the country at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico.
