Handout</div>The hit comedy franchise “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” is returning with a fourth installment — but instead of heading to cinemas or streaming, the newest chapter will debut as a live theater production in June 2026, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) announced Tuesday.“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sht! It’s Live Sa Cheter!” will run from June 19 to August 16, 2026, at the PETA Theater Center. The project marks the franchise’s first major shift in format after two successful films and a well-received series, bringing its trademark satire into an immersive, meta-theatrical setting.Eugene Domingo will reprise her self-aware role as herself, leading a production that PETA says will poke fun at the chaos of Philippine theater-making — from artistic ego and backstage politics to rising ticket prices, venue challenges, Broadway, &quot;what we love to what we hate about theater&quot; and &quot;the past, present, and future of our beloved art.&quot;According to PETA, the stage adaptation is “a chaotic, hilarious meta-comedy about ego, art, and the messy reality of making Philippine theater today,” expanding the franchise’s long-running ribbing of the entertainment industry into a new medium.The show will be directed by Maribel Legarda, with original franchise creators Marlon Rivera and Chris Martinez returning as part of the creative team. PETA said the production continues its tradition of pairing sharp cultural commentary with commercial entertainment, similar to its long-running hits “Rak of Aegis,” “Walang Aray” and “One More Chance.”Metrobank is co-presenting the production and will offer its credit cardholders first access to tickets during an early 2026 presale. A public waitlist is open from December 2 to 7, 2025.
