<p>MANILA --  A new Guinness World Record was set during &quot;Protected &amp; Proud,” a World AIDS Day event that happened over the weekend at the UP Sunken Garden.</p><p>The event headlined by OPM artist Maki and &quot;Drag Race Philippines&quot; Season 3 winner Maxie Andreison, which aims to break the stigma about HIV and sexual health through music and advocacy, successfully achieved a Guinness World Records title for the largest condom donation in one hour.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:633px;display:block"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17647315129176f60734b-0201-487d-b543-14957a51b4db.jpg" style="width:633px;display:block" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Justin Patterson, adjudicator of the Guinness World Records, officially hands over certificate of record to Denise van Dijk, President and CEO, DKT Health, Inc. The record to beat was 2,500 condoms. Together with our auditing staff, we counted a total of 13,312 condoms making a new Guinness World Records. Congratulations, you are officially amazing,” said Justin Patterson, adjudicator of the Guinness World Records. </p><p>Aimed to promote safe sex awareness and HIV prevention, all donated condoms are set to benefit UP Babaylan, the country’s longest-running LGBTQIA+ student organization. </p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17647315335949c24033f-7c81-44b3-98a8-936cc66da7ca.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Just recently, the Department of Health reported 5,583 new HIV cases from July to September 2025, noting that the number was 22 percent higher than the cases recorded in the same quarter last year.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/health-science/2025/12/1/5-583-new-hiv-cases-from-july-sept-2025-in-ph-doh-1518" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">5,583 new HIV cases from July-Sept. 2025 in PH — DOH</a></div><p>“This historic moment strengthens our mission of educating young Filipinos on HIV prevention and protection. It shows what’s possible when organizations and communities work together,” said Drei Ledesma, Punong Babaylan of UP Babaylan. </p><p>The successful attempt reflected the growing public support for open conversations on sexual health.</p><p>“Our partnership with Watsons and UP Babaylan is a reflection of DKT Health’s commitment to community-focused action. For us, sexual wellness goes beyond the product; it means actively supporting organizations on the ground who are fighting HIV stigma, providing essentials like condoms, and driving important education and awareness initiatives. We&#x27;re all for normalizing conversations on sexual wellness and protection among young people, as well as making essentials like condoms easily accessible.
