<p>MANILA -- A 19-year-old porter from Divisoria has become an unexpected social media sensation after his longtime dream of becoming a reporter briefly came true.</p><p>Christian Tee, known in the busy marketplace as “Boy Buhat,” had always imagined himself delivering the news. </p><p>What he did not expect was that one day he would be the story.</p><p>A video of Christian confidently reporting on the spot in Divisoria on December 2 quickly went viral and drew positive comments from netizens who admired his composure, charisma, and natural storytelling skills. </p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/12/2/divisoria-vendors-see-slow-holiday-sales-amid-growing-online-competition-1901"><strong>‘Umaaray na talaga’; Divisoria vendors see slow holiday sales amid growing online competition</strong></a></div><p>“Ako po si Christian at ito po ang lagay ngayon dito sa may Divisoria. Yan guys, sobrang daming tao. Ang aking trabaho nga pala ay mag-hustle, magbuhat-buhat, diskarte sa araw-araw. As of now, ang dami nang mabibili ngayon sa Divisoria, mga decors, mga Christmas tree, may mga araw na matumal,” he said on his on-the-spot report.</p><p>ABS-CBN News had spent the entire day covering the surge of Christmas shoppers in the area.</p><p>Unbeknown to the team, Christian had been following them around since morning, observing, learning, and quietly studying how the reporter gathered and delivered news.</p><p>At one point, he even waved candidly at the camera during an interview.</p><p>Christian, who works as a porter hauling goods for vendors and customers, said he is called “Boy Buhat” around the market.</p><p>Life has never been easy for him. He had to stop school in Grade 8 due to financial struggles.</p><p>He now pushes himself even harder as a young father to an eight-month-old daughter in Nueva Ecija.</p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/9/1/shoppers-flock-to-divisoria-for-early-christmas-decor-bargains-2324"><strong>Shoppers flock to Divisoria for early Christmas decor bargains</strong></a></div><p>“May mga araw din na mabenta pero kailangan magpatuloy tayo sa hirap ng buhay, tuloy-tuloy lang, laban lang hangga’t tama ang ginagawa mo, ipagpatuloy mo,” he said.</p><p>In that brief moment in front of the camera, Christian embraced a dream he had held for years.</p><p>“Ano pong sasabihin?… So ayan guys sobrang daming tao sa paligid ngayon, ang dami nilang nakakakita sa atin.
