The book follows her 2023 memoir, “Why Should Guys Have All the Fun? An Asian American Story of Love, Marriage, Motherhood and Running a Billion Dollar Empire.”Lewis also held a book signing last January 17 at National Book Store in Shangri-La Plaza.Lewis said she was inspired to write the book while on tour for her memoir, after repeatedly being asked about her age and appearance.“While I was promoting my book, I was met with shock every time I revealed that I am 80,” Lewis said. “I have been so frequently asked about what it is that I do differently that makes me look the way I do and have the energy that I have at my age. I would answer briefly (as much as a typical Q&amp;A would allow), but there was so much more that I could think of sharing.”The book outlines Lewis’ daily habits and self-care practices, focusing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. The subtitle reflects her decision not to undergo cosmetic surgery, fillers or Botox, she said.Lewis dedicated the book to her five grandchildren, as well as her grandnieces and grandnephews. She said she hopes readers of various age groups will find practical lessons they can apply to their own routines.“This book is for those who are seeking ways to truly give the kind of care to themselves that make for long, healthy and joyful lives,” she said.Broadcast journalist Karen Davila praised the book, describing Lewis’ approach to aging as rooted in discipline and self-care rather than cosmetic intervention.Television host Boy Abunda also commended Lewis for sharing her perspective on aging, calling the book an affirmation of wellness and self-confidence.Lewis encouraged readers to give the book as a gift, saying she hopes it will offer a more optimistic view of aging. “I believe it’s never too late to develop good habits,” she said.“Look Younger When You’re Older: No Botox, No Surgery” is also available on Shopee and Lazada.
