<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1770271336907PASINAYA 2025 1Feb25 (Kiko Cabuena) (128).JPG" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner"><em>Kiko Cabuena/Handout</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Now on its 20th year, the CCP Pasinaya: The Open House Festival returns on February 7 and 8 with new components, expanded venues, and a broader regional reach, reaffirming its place as the country’s largest multi-arts celebration and the official kickoff of National Arts Month.</p><p>Organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), this milestone edition carries the theme “Paglikha sa Kinabukasan,” highlighting the role of artists and audiences — especially the youth — in shaping the future of Philippine arts and culture.</p><p>“As CCP Pasinaya marks its 20th edition, the festival continues to offer new experiences even for its long-standing audience,” said CCP president Kaye C. Tinga. “We are pleased to expand the festival to additional partner venues across Metro Manila and the regions, enabling wider public participation in artmaking and appreciation.”</p><p>For the first time, CCP Pasinaya expands to Roxas City, Capiz, joining returning regional partners Iloilo City and Tagum City. In Metro Manila, the festival unfolds across multiple venues, including the Circuit Performing Arts Theater in Makati, Metropolitan Theater in Manila, Aliw Theater at the CCP Complex, and Rizal Park Luneta, the latter in partnership with the National Parks Development Committee.</p><p>Projected to attract over 50,000 attendees, the festival continues its signature “pay-what-you-can, watch-all-you-can, workshop-all-you-can” approach.</p><p>Guided by its theme, CCP artistic director and Pasinaya festival director Dennis N. Marasigan said the festival aims to move beyond presentation and toward participation.</p><p>“By bringing the festival closer to communities across the country, we hope to provide opportunities for meaningful engagement, spark curiosity, and nurture a generation of artists and audiences who will carry forward and reimagine the future of Philippine arts and culture,” Marasigan said. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>A festival of discovery</strong></div><p>February 7 opens with Palihan, a full-day, workshop-all-you-can experience that allows participants to explore various art forms through hands-on sessions. A free shuttle service, provided in partnership with the Museum Foundation of the Philippines, connects the venues. A new addition this year is a guided walking tour of the CCP Complex led by the Heritage Collective.</p><p>Professional artists and groups also participate in Palitan, a business-to-business platform that connects them with Philippine embassies, arts programmers, and cultural stakeholders, opening doors for collaboration and international exposure.</p><p>Adding a competitive and interactive edge is Paligsahan, a new festival component featuring activities such as Paeksena (cosplay competition), Paramihan (TikTok video challenge), Paseo Museo Paunahan (stamp rally), Pitik-Larawan (photo contest), Sinag ng Pasinaya (mobile fighting game), and the Vertical Shorts Competition.</p><p>Festival-goers can also explore Pamilihan, a curated marketplace of food stalls, artisanal treats, and handcrafted goods that supports local vendors and entrepreneurs.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Metro Manila and beyond</strong></div><p>In Rizal Park Luneta, audiences can catch performances by groups such as the Philippine High School for the Arts’ Dulaang Sipat Lawin, Ang Mga Manunubli ng Sinala, Lahing Balangeña Performing Arts, and DALTA Molino Performing Arts Group.</p><p>At the Circuit Performing Arts Theater, folk and contemporary performances come from the Muntinlupa Dance Company, Centro Escolar University Folk Dance Troupe, and the University of the East Silanganan Dance Troupe, alongside puppetry by comedic duo Wanlu and Nicolo.</p><p>The Metropolitan Theater hosts performances by the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Imusicapella, Batangas State University’s Diwayanis Dance Theater, Lipa Actors Company, and students of Temple Hill International School and Saint Benilde Romançon Dance Company. Interactive sessions include an instrument experience by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, an improvisation comedy introduction by SPIT Manila, and talks by Alice Reyes Dance Philippines and Repertory Philippines.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1770271244107Pasinaya Palabas Clossing Feb2-Orly (192).JPG" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner"><em>Handout</em></span></span></span></div><div><strong>Growing regional footprint</strong></div><p>In Capiz, CCP Pasinaya debuts at Robinsons Roxas and Capiz State University, featuring performances by Filamer Christian University’s Dance Company and Chorale, Leyte Dance Theater, Mindanao State University’s Tambuli Cultural Dance Troupe, and Sining Kambayoka Marawi.</p><p>At the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art, now in its third year as a regional partner, audiences can experience performances, workshops, and exhibitions by UP Visayas Living Room Theatre, University of San Agustin Little Theater, and Cuartero National High School Taliamba Ensemble, among others.</p><p>In Tagum City, the Cultural Center and Robinsons Tagum host performances by Danza Filipina, Sto. Tomas Kwerdas Rondalla, Tagum City Children’s Choir, and guest artists from across Mindanao.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Building a creative home</strong></div><p>Established in 2005, CCP Pasinaya began as a marketing platform for CCP productions and resident companies before evolving into a nationwide celebration of Philippine arts. Over the years, it has grown into a hub for artistic exchange, education, and collaboration, sustained largely by the continued participation of performing groups and communities.</p><p>Pre-registration for Manila venues is available through CCP’s official social media pages, while regional attendees may check the respective venues’ online platforms for details.</p>
