Manila Pen Show returning on March 28-29

<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1774513488615＃3776BUNGUBOX Blue marine (1).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Handout photo</div>The Manila Pen Show, Southeast Asia&#x27;s longest-running gathering for pen enthusiasts, is set to return this March for its sixth year, featuring its largest lineup of exhibitors yet.The event will take place on March 28 and 29 at Fairmont Makati, according to a press release.This year&#x27;s edition carries the theme &quot;Hello Retro,&quot; celebrating &quot;objects with history: held in the present, creating new stories that will live on in the future.&quot;The show will feature 60 confirmed booths across two full ballrooms and a foyer, marking the largest footprint in the event’s history.Exhibitors will showcase fountain pens, inks, notebooks and paper, glass dip pens, leather goods, calligraphy supplies and artisan accessories, attracting makers and brands from across Asia.Activities run across two dedicated workshop rooms over both days, covering calligraphy, journaling, art, traditional Japanese lacquerware, and eco-dyeing.Saturday highlights include a glass pen and Drillog handwriting session led by Imma Frias-Fua, a monoline lettering workshop with Tokyo-based artist Bechori, and a traditional Hira Maki-e urushi (Japanese lacquer) plate workshop with Sophia Ma of Kyuseido. On Sunday, attendees can join a ronde calligraphy class with Eun Bautista, a fountain pen cursive workshop for children with Toni Santos and an Esterbrook travel journaling session hosted by KikayJournals.The event will also feature four specialist nibmeisters — someone who can improve or reform a nib — offering pen diagnosis, tuning, and custom nib grinds.Entry tickets are available now at manilapenshow.helixpay.ph and at the gate.The Manila Pen Show is organized by Fountain Pen Network Philippines, Inc., a registered non-profit organization.<div> </div>
