You have “his paradise” and “her paradise,” like showing two sides of a coin and two sides to a story. The stark contrast between the two and the shift from one paradise to the next signal a powerful transformation for the main character and how she’s taken control of her narrative. The juxtaposition of the paradise aspect and the elements of the snake across the video also makes for an interesting story. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>The versatility of Maymay</strong></div><p>It’s already established that Maymay is a good singer, so the same can be said of her performance in this new song. But because there are two versions of paradise in the music video, we also see two versions of Maymay: a pure yet sultry persona in “his paradise,” clad in a simple slip dress, and a femme fatale rocking an edgy ensemble in “her paradise.” The thing with music videos is that there’s also acting involved, and with her portfolio as an actress, Maymay delivered the required emotions in every scene.
