The montage opens with what seems like a casual sparring session at the boxing gym, but tension escalates quickly as Victor serves Alex with a brutal blow upon revealing his HIV-positive tests. He was surprised that Alex didn’t escape that spiteful punch. It turned out that Victor only feigned his HIV revelation to get the upper hand and score evidence of Alex and Juliana's affair. When their mother, Amelia (Maricel Soriano), discovered Victor's scheme, of course, she intervened and painted Alex as the victim and good guy, as she always did.

Enough with the games. Victor confronted the harsh truth head-on when he caught the traitors sneaking a moment into their love nest. Fueled by rage, he exploded like a violent hurricane, especially when Alex uttered the damning words, "Tanggapin mo na Victor. Ako ang pinili ni Juliana. Talunan ka pa rin.” So here comes Victor, determined to prove that he’s no loser. He pummeled Alex, who fled like a scared rat in a desperate attempt to save himself.

When Victor’s desire for revenge intensified, Alex employed his cunning tactics by just allowing Victor to show aggression, knowing they could leverage this behavior as justification for his and Juliana’s annulment. Well, Alex feels like he can always manipulate the law to his advantage, and it infuriates us whenever he acts like it. He even felt superior when he blackmailed Victor, saying he would drop the frustrated homicide charges in exchange for Juliana filing for annulment.

It was inevitable that they would clash over their true status as a Lualhati. At the time, Amelia was still concealing the truth that Victor was the legitimate child, as she was the mistress of Victor’s father, making Alex the illegitimate son. In one scene, Alex shouted that Victor should be the one paying for the sins of his mother, who was allegedly a mistress. But as we all know, the tables will soon turn.

As the war exploded, Victor needed to recruit allies, and he considered colluding with Alex's wife, Sylvia (Kaila Estrada), believing she would understand his feelings since they were both deceived by their spouses who shamelessly had an affair. Initially, Sylvia sided with him, but her heart eventually hardened, and she became a martyr, allowing herself to be manipulated by Alex. However, Victor persisted and approached her again. Naturally, Alex caught wind of Victor's actions and threatened him to stay away from Sylvia.

The two of them have always been fighters, as they are both boxers. That’s why the boxing ring often turns into a war zone for them, especially when Alex became Victor's promoter. Their training sessions often ended in quarrels. Alex even accused Victor of using his popularity and insisted that he didn't need to listen to his advice because he had never lost a match. Their argument almost escalated into a real fight if it weren’t for Coach Badong (Jaime Fabregas) and the other people in the gym who intervened.

Tension rose when Victor won his boxing match, touching Alex's pride and proving that Victor still has the prowess to emerge victorious in the ring.

Another factor that fuelled the fire between them was when Alex accused Victor of killing Sylvia. He even arrogantly mocked Victor when he was jailed for Sylvia's case, when, as we all know, the truth is he was the one who killed his ex-wife.
