They share blood ties, but this bond soured when Alex (JM De Guzman) betrayed Victor (Paulo Avelino) by engaging in an illicit affair with the latter’s wife, Juliana (Kim Chiu), turning their brotherhood into a tumultuous spectacle. Well, a sibling rivalry involving fists and a shared love interest is bound to escalate into a bloody showdown at some point.

They've arrived at the darkest part of their relationship and pulled out the most embittered corners. Re-watch their intense confrontations, ablaze like wildfire, in this Kapamilya Toplist video from "Linlang: The Teleserye Version."

The montage opens with what seems like a casual sparring session at the boxing gym, but tension escalated quickly as Victor served Alex with a brutal blow upon revealing his HIV-positive tests. He was surprised that Alex didn’t escape that spiteful punch. The two shared a tension-filled conversation where Alex condemned Victor's extramarital affairs during his time as a seaman, throwing back the accusations of infidelity made against Juliana.

It turned out that Victor only feigned his HIV revelation to get the upper hand and score evidence of Alex and Juliana's affair. When their mother, Amelia (Maricel Soriano), discovered Victor's scheme, of course, she intervened and painted Alex as the victim and good guy, as she always does.

Enough with the games. Victor confronted the harsh truth head-on when he caught the traitors sneaking a moment in their love nest. Fueled by rage, he exploded like a violent hurricane, especially when Alex uttered the damning words, "Tanggapin mo na, Victor. Ako ang pinili ni Juliana. Talunan ka pa rin.” So here comes Victor, determined to prove that he’s no loser. He pummeled Alex, who fled like a scared rat in a desperate attempt to save himself.

When Victor’s desire for revenge intensified, Alex employed his cunning tactics by just allowing Victor to show aggression, knowing they could leverage this behavior as justification for his and Juliana’s annulment.

Alex ignited a bigger war by portraying himself as the victim while casting Victor as the antagonist, vowing to seek legal action after the latter’s attack. Well, Alex feels like he can always manipulate the law to his advantage, and it infuriates us whenever he acts like it. He even felt superior over Victor when he blackmailed him, saying he will drop the charges in exchange for Juliana filing for annulment.

Victor's strategic move to expose Alex's dirty secrets proved effective as it derailed the latter’s path to his dream promotion. Enraged, Alex confronted Victor at the gym, nearly resorting to violence, but hesitated when Victor displayed confidence in his ability to seek justice and use Alex’s action for a possible legal case.

We also appreciate their subtle confrontations where Victor low-key needles Alex by flaunting his rights as Juliana’s legal husband. There was a scene where Alex and his wife Sylvia (Kaila Estrada) passed by and saw Victor’s family leaving for a vacation. Victor then casually stated that he’s going to enjoy with his family, enough to provoke Alex’s jealousy. He sure had fun watching his half-brother’s face flushed red with fury.

Follow these brothers’ fierce, deep-seated rivalry in “Linlang: The Teleserye Version,” weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
