Many of us have certainly found ourselves engrossed with love stories we’ve encountered throughout our lives – may it be something we have read, seen, heard, or even experienced. Even though they came from different dimensions, it didn’t hinder them to have a cute and kilig love story that didn’t fail make us smile and kilig. Their first meetings as both mortals, and with Jane (Loisa Andalio) as a ghost already and Edward (Ronnie Alonte) seeing her through his opened third eye, may not be totally pleasant, yet those didn’t hinder them from building love-and-hate relation that would gradually develop into a romantic connection.

Avid viewers of Love In 40 Days would know that Jane willingly set aside her pride and befriended Edward in hopes of saving Evergreen Mansion from destruction by convincing him not to remodel the mansion into a resto-bar. That may have ensued to quarrels between them since they are both persistent in their respective endeavors, but things eventually changed when they became friends.

Edward may have gotten into her nerves most of the time, but Jane couldn’t help but be concerned to him, such as when he had an altercation with his parents that really took a toll on him. As she assumed that he might harm himself because of it, she snuck into his bedroom to check on him, much to his shock and delight.

Having a not-so supportive family, Edward has found his number one cheerleader in Jane, who has been expressing her support for him in every achievement that he gets in his up-and-coming music career. They may argue and get in trouble a lot, he’s thankful that she’s still there to support and cheer for him as he pursues his dreams.

As Jane’s father abandoned her and her late mom when she was still young, she has harbored extreme hatred against him growing up. Her unfixed issues with her dad make it impossible for her to transit, so Edward tries to help her. In one of their conversations, he told her that he wanted her to experience the kind of treatment he gets from his dad, who never fails to express how proud and appreciative he is of everything that he has already achieved in life.

He may have a traumatic experience with driving in his younger years, which involved the demise of their trusty family driver Mang Dado, but Edward was able to finally conquer it with the help of Jane. From forcing to drive a car when they saw her little brother Mon-Mon (Josh de Guzman) accidentally hit by her cousin Kokoy (Renshi de Guzman) to helping him converse with Mang Dado, Jane also gave him an on-the-spot driving tutorial.

Since they used to abhor each other, they didn’t expect to become friends, more so having debt of gratitude on one another or wishing for the other’s genuine and eternal happiness. As they absolutely enjoy each other’s company and have been inseparable ever since, it’s really deemed inevitable for them not to fall in love with each other. While Jane fondly reminisced about the sweet moments they shared, Edward dreamt of them kissing passionately as his bedroom.
