They had met in 2016, but just after two years, they discovered that Angel had cancer and a few years left to live.During those years, Jhon never left Angel’s side. Even when he was in the middle of finishing his studies, he found a way to juggle all his responsibilities so he could still take care of Angel. His fondest memories with her were definitely their dates in restaurants trying different dishes.Angel fought for her life to be with Jhon longer. Hopeful for more years together, they decided to get married and make the most of their time with each other. Unfortunately, Angel’s sickness progressed shortly after their wedding. With Angel gone in his life now, Jhon has been struggling to move forward in his life.Jhon admitted to Charo that he fell off the wagon and went back to bad habits and vices as he copes and grieves his loss. But, recently, he has also come to realize that he must change his ways, “Iniisip ko rin naman po ‘yun na hindi naman pwedeng ganito lang lagi ang magiging direksyon ng buhay ko. Siguro pagdating rin ng panahon na naka-move on na, magpursige na rin sa buhay. Siyempre kailangan ‘yun eh.”Jhon readily listened to Charo’s advice for him to pursue the dreams he and Angel envisioned and create a better direction for his life. With more confidence in taking charge of his future, Jhon shared, “Alam kong pagsubok lang sa buhay ngayon ito… Pero siyempre, kakayanin ko pa rin kahit papaano. Life must go on, sabi nga nila.”
