10 love lessons we learned from Marry Me, Marry You

For two seasons, we’ve all been obsessed with Kapamilya rom-com series Marry Me, Marry You. Aside from the relatable characters and amusing scenes, a big part of the teleserye’s charm is how it tackled love in the simplest and most honest way. Here are some lessons about love and marriage we picked up from the story.

1. With all its connotative and denotative meanings – how can you tell if love is real? Finding an answer from her mom Judith (Lotlot de Leon)’s words of advice, Camille (Janine Gutierrez) learned there’s no set checklist to prove if she’s truly in love. Only the heart can tell her so.

2. It isn’t a crime to save a portion of love for you. After all, true love begins with the way you treat yourself.
