<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/metro/7/05/shabu-lab.jpg"/></figure></div><p>MANILA (UPDATED) – Three Taiwanese were arrested in raids conducted simultaneously by elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) on two houses that serve as clandestine shabu laboratories in Las Piñas City and Parañaque City.</p><p>The operation is the first of many raids the PDEA-NCR will be conducting under &quot;OPLAN FIRSTBLOOD.&quot;</p><p>Armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Fernando Sagun of Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 78, PDEA-NCR first raided a house located at 21 Philamlife Village in Pamplona Dos, Las Piñas City.</p><p>The two Taiwanese, with aliases Art and Alex, found inside the shabu laboratory were targets of the warrant.</p><p>Authorities were not disappointed when they discovered around 60 kilos of suspected shabu in containers ready for distribution.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><div style="padding-top:66.375%"><div id="IVS_ABS_Body_Video_1_Container"> <ivs-player id="IVS_ABS_Body_Video_1" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-vid="1469491" data-ivs-floating="1"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/iframe-parent.js"></script> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script> </div></div></figure><p>PDEA Director General Isidro Lapeña said, “These are ready for packaging, disposal. Kung hindi natin ito naaksiyunan, this will land sa market nila.”</p><p>PDEA-NCR Director Wilkins Villanueva also noted the various rooms used for each stage in making shabu.</p><p>“Itong kuwarto na ito, room for the finished product. Iyung kabilang room is dryer. Drying stage nila. May kulang na part so definitely, merong kambal pa rin ito,” he said.</p><p>The shabu laboratory found in Las Piñas sat at the very entrance of the subdivision, just opposite the guardhouse, and beside a mall.</p><p>Lapeña said the shabu laboratories can easily be concealed because activities are done mainly indoors.</p><p>Another PDEA group also conducted a simultaneous raid on Unit 1D Executive Villages Society in BF Homes Phase 5, Parañaque City.</p><p>Boxes of suspected crystal meth finished product were found during the raid.</p><p>Another Taiwanese was arrested.</p><p>Both houses were under PDEA surveillance for one month.</p><p>Authorities are still investigating which drug syndicate is behind the operations.</p>
