Jessy Mendiola is making her teleserye comeback with the upcoming action drama series "Sins of the Father." In this project, the actress and celebrity mom shares the spotlight with a star-studded cast that includes Gerald Anderson, Shaina Magdayao, JC De Vera, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Lotlot De Leon, Joko Diaz, John Arcilla, and Tirso Cruz III.

Sins of the Father just held its media launch on June 13, and Metro.Style got to catch up with Jessy about her much-awaited return to acting. Jessy, who took a break from showbiz for motherhood, last appeared in the 2019 series Sandugo. 

What was it like for Jessy to be back filming on the set? She said she felt like a newbie. "Almost six years kasi ako nagpahinga tapos hindi ko po talaga akalain na babalik pa ako. Kaya I'm very grateful," Jessy shared. 

Although she was also present at the ABS-CBN Ball last April with husband Luis Manzano, Jessy considers the Sins of the Father media launch as her first big showbiz event after she went on a hiatus. "Actually, ngayon, naninibago pa ako e," she admitted.  

Since it's been a while since she worked on a soap opera, Jessy is grateful that their directors and the production team are guiding her and making sure she's well taken care of on the set. She said, "They're very accommodating sa mga questions ko... I'm nervous but really excited about what's in store for me sa pagbabalik ko."

Written by Dindo C. Perez and directed by FM Reyes and Bjoy Balagtas, this exciting new series under JRB Creative Production will be released on June 23, 9:30 PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5. It will also be available on iWantTFC and TFC.
