Rodolfo Azurin Jr. ang pagsasailalim sa naturang assessment at vetting process.</p><p>Kasabay nito, naniniwala rin umano na PNP na lahat ng mga sumailalim sa vetting process at natagpuang walang koneksiyon sa ano mang iligal na droga ay malilinis ang pangalan bilang opisyal ng kapulisan.</p><p>Nangako rin ang PIO na maglalabas sila ng bilang ng mga opisyal ng PNP na may ranggong koronel hanggang heneral na maapektuhan ng courtesy resignation.</p><p>Sa pahayag ni dating senador Panfilo Lacson ukol sa apela ni Abalos sa PNP, sinabi niyang mayroong merit ang rekomendasyon ng kalihim basta&#x27;t ang pagbabasehan ng desisyon sa resignation ay ang &quot;accuracy&quot; ng intelligence reports.</p><p>Nagsilbi bilang director general ng PNP si Lacson mula 1999 hanggang 2001.</p><p>Para naman kay Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel, &quot;I find that &#x27;call or request&#x27; [to resign] very strange and too broad.&quot; </p><p>Maaari aniyang maaapektuhan ng panawagan ang mga pulis na ginagawa nang maayos ang kanilang trabaho. </p><p>&quot;Why not pursue the matter on a case to case basis? Identify the crooked and prosecute them.
