<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2020/life/01/21/20200121-president-rodrigo-roa-duterte-co-presidential-photo.jpg"/><figcaption>President Rodrigo Roa Duterte delivers a speech as he joins the Cebuanos in celebrating the 40th Sinulog Festival at the Cebu City Sports Center Grandstand on January 19, 2020. <em>Rey Baniquet, Presidential Photo</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte received a record-high satisfaction rating in the fourth quarter of 2019, a <a href="https://www.sws.org.ph/swsmain/artcldisppage/?artcsyscode=ART-20200121185102">Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey</a> revealed Tuesday.</p><p>Duterte received an &quot;excellent&quot; net satisfaction rating of +72, up by 7 points from his &quot;very good&quot; +65 rating in September 2019.</p><p>This new rating surpassed his personal record-high of +68 &quot;very good&quot; rating recorded in the second quarter of 2019.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/10/09/19/duterte-satisfaction-rating-slightly-down-but-still-very-good-sws">Duterte satisfaction rating slightly down but still &#x27;very good&#x27;: SWS</a></li></ul><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2020/life/01/21/20200121-sws-1.jpg"/></figure></div><p>Of 1,200 Filipino adults, 82 percent told SWS they were satisfied with Duterte&#x27;s performance as chief executive, while 10 percent were dissatisfied and 8 percent were undecided.</p><p>The 7-point increase in Duterte&#x27;s rating was due to increases in Balance Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, as well as the steady score in Metro Manila.</p><p>Duterte&#x27;s net satisfaction reached a new record +66 in December 2019 in Balance Luzon, up by 12 points from +54 in the previous quarter.</p><p>It also stayed &quot;excellent&quot; in both the Visayas and Mindanao, increasing by 4 points in the Visayas from +75 to +79, and by 5 points in Mindanao, from +76 to +81 in December.</p><p>Net satisfaction with Duterte&#x27;s performance also stayed at the record &quot;very good&quot; +66 in Metro Manila.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2020/life/01/21/20200121-sws-2.jpg"/><figcaption> </figcaption></figure></div><p>Duterte&#x27;s net satisfaction rating also increased across social classes, with a 14 point increase from +54 in September to +71 in December in Class E.</p><p>SWS also found satisfaction with the President increased in both urban and rural areas, as well as among both men and women. </p><p>In terms of age groups, the President&#x27;s net satisfaction rating rose by 9 points, from a &quot;very good&quot; +64 in September to an &quot;excellent&quot; +73 in December among 18 to 24 year olds.</p><p>It also rose from &quot;very good&quot; to &quot;excellent&quot; among those 35 to 44 year olds, as well as among those 55 and older, while it stayed &quot;very good&quot; in the other age groups.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2020/life/01/21/20200121-sws-3.jpg"/></figure></div><p>In this quarter&#x27;s survey, SWS included the question about the President&#x27;s promises and which among these they think will be fulfilled.</p><p>To this, 16 percent answered all or nearly all, 36 percent answered most, 42 percent answered a few and 5 percent answered none or almost none. </p><p>The 52 percent expecting nearly all/most of Duterte&#x27;s promises to be fulfilled is 4 points above the 48 percent in December 2018.</p><p>The December 2019 survey also showed 72 percent of respondents are worried about the President&#x27;s health, while 28 percent said they are not worried about it.</p><p>The SWS survey, conducted from Dec. 13 to 16, 2019, has a margin of error of ±3 percent for national figures, and ±6 percent for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.</p>
