Pumalag nitong Sabado ang ilang personalidad na kabilang sa listahan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na mga nahuli at napatay umanong miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA).Sa isang Facebook post na binura na ng AFP, kabilang sa mga nasa listahan ay mga alumni ng University of the Philippines (UP) na naging lider ng mga estudyante noong 1980s. Sa online media conference na inorganisa ng Right to Know Right Now Coalition, isa-isang naglabas ng sama ng loob ang mga napabilang sa listahan at itinanggi ang koneksyon sa NPA.“I find this ‘yung ginawa ng AFP information management center as despicable,” ani dating government peace negotiator Atty. Alexander Padilla. “I&#x27;ve never been with the NPA. I have been with the government for 20 years or more . . . Taga-teatro po ako (pero) hindi po ako maka-cast na NPA bilang ako ay lampa,” ani Magtoto. Ayon naman kay Raffy Aquino ng Free Legal Assistance Group, wala siyang panahon na sumali sa NPA noong naga-aral pa siya.“Hindi naman ako masyadong matalino kaya kinailangan kong mag-aral talaga so walang pagkakataong sumapi sa NPA. At dahil hindi ako NPA, hindi naman ako na-capture. Eh, ang nakita nila ‘yung listahan ng student leaders noong 1980s and so they came up with that,” ani Landingin. Nababahala si Landingin sa klase ng pagkalap ng impormasyon ng mga militar na puwedeng magamit sa operasyon. “If that’s the kind of information they use for military operations, can you imagine if walang pandemic tapos nag-reunion tayo? We could be subject to a military operation,” saad ni Landingin. <div>‘DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE’</div>Nandinigan naman si Marie Lisa Dacanay, pangulo ng Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia, na kailangan managot ang AFP sa paglalabas ng tinawag niyang “false news.”“I will not take this lightly as we need to make the AFP accountable for actions that are libelous and potentially endangering and wreaking havoc on the lives of individuals like me who are living a peaceful and meaningful life…” ani Dacanay. Nakikipag-ugnayan na aniya si Dacanay sa kaniyang abugado para sa posibilidad ng ligal na hakbang laban sa AFP.Nanawagan ang mga personaldad sa AFP na maglabas ng public apology para linisin ang kanilang pangalan. “Kahit naibaba na ang listahan sa Facebook, nontheless, the damage has been done. Nakaka-highblood po. Psychological aggravation.
