Evacuation
The death toll due to the 2019 novel coronavirus (nCoV) in China rose to 132 with around 6000 cases reported. Some countries like the US and Australia are evacuating their citizens out of Wuhan. Around 50 Filipinos in Wuhan said they want to come home. In the Philippines, the country is still free from the virus and 23 persons are still being observed. A Chinese patient under observation for the virus in San Lazaro died due to pneumonia. President Duterte said it is not yet time to ban flights between the Philippines and China. Meanwhile, prices of face masks has been going up.

Ronald dela Rosa who as national police chief carried out Duterte’s administration’s war on drugs. The President also stressed he was not joking about terminating the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) with the US.
