Keeping nCoV out
The Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed that the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is now in the Philippines. After saying there was no need to impose a travel ban on Chinese tourists citing diplomatic and political repercussions, Health Sec. Francisco Duque III said he is strongly recommending a ban on travelers from the Hubei province. President Duterte said he was not keen on barring Chinese tourists from the country. Let’s see if he will change his mind now.

A lawyer of Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader and close friend of President Duterte, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, claimed the arrest of three members of his church in Los Angeles was a “grand conspiracy” meant to “shame” the religious leader. Israelito Torreon said the charges were trumped up by disgruntled former members.
