Damir Sagolj, Reuters</div></figcaption></figure></div>(UPDATE) COLLATERAL DAMAGE: Thirty-one children have been killed so far amid the government&#x27;s war on drugs, a non-government organization said Thursday.The fatalities, all below 18 years old, were slain between July 1, 2016 and January 31, 2017, according to the Children&#x27;s Legal Rights and Development Center (CLRDC).&quot;Mayroon tayong mga bata na they were really targeted... They were not really spared on this war on drugs,&quot; CLRDC executive director Rowena Legaspi said.The youngest of the victims, she said, was a 4-year-old girl.The CLRDC also monitored the cases of 3 children who suffered severe trauma and fear after surviving a drug-related attack.The group said the numbers can be higher, assuming that there are cases yet to be reported.Legaspi appealed to authorities to &quot;spare the children&quot; during anti-drug operations.She said authorities must also verify any information about the involvement of minors in the drug trade and &quot;respect the right of the accused&quot; in confronting the child. -- Report from Sherrie Ann Torres, ABS-CBN News
