The policeman who proposed to another cop in front of President Rodrigo Duterte last October has tied the knot days before Valentine's Day.

S/Insp. Arvin Hosmillo proposed to his girlfriend of 5 years, S/Insp. Romea Alniza Kinang, who also happened to be Duterte’s aide-de-camp, after the president delivered a speech at a police camp in Butuan City last year.

Duterte served as one of the principal sponsors in the February 12 wedding that was held at the Astoria Regency Convention Center in Zamboanga City.

Kinang and Hosmillo were supposed to get married last year, but had to call it off after they got into a fight.

“Don’t you worry, pakasalan mo lang ako, I still have forever para bumawi as your husband,” Hosmillo said before falling down on one knee to make the proposal in October.
