Imee Marcos attended her 1983 graduation from the University of the Philippines College of Law. The ceremonies were held at Meralco Theater where her parents -- former President Ferdinand E. Marcos and former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos -- pinned her cum laude medal,&quot; it said.This was in contrast with the report published by news website <a href="https://www.rappler.com/newsbreak/fact-check/222831-imee-marcos-record-up-college-law-graduated-cum-laude">Rappler</a> on February 6. The news report said that Marcos&#x27; claim that she graduated from the law school was &quot;false&quot; and quoted a university official who said &quot;[t]here is no record of her graduation from UP nor any honors or academic distinctions received with the University Registrar&#x27;s office.&quot;The report used Marcos&#x27; own curriculum vitae during her time as a congresswoman, where it claimed she &quot;graduated cum laude&quot; from UP Law. This is not the first time Marcos found herself in a controversy involving her academic records.
