Phivolcs launches 100th strong motion station to measure major quakes

In 2020, the country had a total of 99 stations, where additional sites were built in the Ilocos Region and Central Luzon.</p><p>The Philippines is on the geologically active Pacific Ring of Fire and experiences frequent earthquakes, particularly in the south.<br/> </p>
