He said these hit men may soon reveal what they know about the DDS. “May mga ibang mga testigo pa na lumalapit sa kaparian kaya hindi rin naman pwedeng ma-kompromiso ni Arthur Lascañas. I believe in time lahat naman yan will just fall in to place,” Trillanes said.In asking Lascañas to identify men who could bolster his claims, Poe said, it would help Lascañas’ credibility if he will be able to identify men who can corroborate his claims.“Lahat ito kwento niyo, bagamat nailalahad niyo ito, kailangan merong ding tetestigo na kasama niyo, na maaring humarap dito o affidavit na isinwalat din,” Poe said.“Kung pangalan, hindi ko po sure na mag-back up sila sa statement ko,” Lascañas told Poe, citing the names of SPO4 Dick Florivel and SPO3 Teodoro Paguidopon.Senator Panfilo Lacson, who chairs the panel investigating Lascañas’ claims, backed Poe’s assertion, saying Lascañas’ extrajudicial confession cannot stand on its own unless corroborated by a testimony from another person.Lascañas claims that longtime Davao City mayor and now President Rodrigo Duterte ordered him and other members of the alleged death squad to kill criminals and even political enemies.The retired cop made this confession in February after he initially denied in October 2016 the existence of the death squad.In defending his flip-flopping testimonies, Lascañas said he initially denied the existence of the death squad out of fear for his life and family.
