MANILA - Government prosecutors have opposed former Vice President Jejomar Binay's plea for the Sandiganbayan to dismiss his cases in connection with the allegedly anomalous construction of the P2.2-billion Makati City Parking Building.

Binay, a long-time Makati City mayor, is facing 9 counts of falsification of public documents, 4 counts of graft and 1 count of malversation. He earlier filed a plea asking the Sandiganbayan to reconsider its dismissal of his petition to junk the charges.

In a motion filed by the Office of the Special Prosecutor led by Deputy Special Prosecutor Omar Sagadal, it was noted that the court had already addressed the grounds Binay raised in his reconsideration plea.
