Causing chaos
President Duterte went out Monday night to inspect quarantine checkpoints after telling the nation to stay home to avoid the coronavirus. These checkpoints around the metropolis have been causing chaos, with private cars backed up kilometers away, motorcycle riders crowding the entry points, harassed personnel manning the checkpoints, and workers and medical front liners walking to their destinations. And judging from images from the checkpoints, we can just forget about social distancing.
