Denis Balibouse, Reuters/file photo</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday hurled curses at United Nations High Commissioner for human rights Zeid Ra’ad al Hussein, breaking his promise not to insult the Jordanian prince who earlier suggested that the Philippine leader should see a psychiatrist.Duterte said he was told by his Cabinet advisers not to hurl insults at Zeid due to the Philippine government’s ongoing negotiations with Jordan for the purchase of Cobra attack helicopters. Zeid is a cousin of King Abdullah of Jordan.Duterte said he held back on hurling insults at Zeid. He, however, in his speech Tuesday, failed to contain his emotions and spewed invectives at the Jordanian prince.“Gusto ko gumanti. Sabihin ko &#x27;ikaw p****g i*a kang pagong ka.’ Ang sabi niya ‘huwag, huwag kasi may pinangako sa atin yan, dalawang magaganda, mahal, hindi natin kayang bilhin’. Sabi niya huwag ka na lang magalit,” Duterte said in a speech in Oriental Mindoro, quoting his advisers.Zeid has earned the Duterte administration&#x27;s ire after suggesting that the current president seek a psychiatrist. He said the psychiatrist found nothing wrong with him but said the Jordanian prince seems to have an “empty head.“Ang gusto ko sabihin sana, ‘Hoy p****g i*a mo commissioner ka. Ako kailangan magpunta ng psychiatrist? Sabi ng psychiatrist sa akin, ‘Okay ka man mayor, palamura ka lang, either mayabang ka or talagang bastos ka. On both counts yes. Pero yung nag-criticize sa iyo, sabihin mo sa kanya parang tingin ko walang laman ang ulo niya,’” he said, quoting a make-believe psychiatrist.“Gusto ko na sanang sabihin, eh kapatid nung king (sic) ng ano eh. Sabi niya sabihin ko sana, ‘Look you have a big head, but its empty. There’s no grey matter between your ear, it’s hollow, it’s empty. It cannot even sustain a nutrient for your hair to grow.’ Kasi ubos ang buhok niya dito. T**g i*a mo. L***e ka. ”Duterte earlier this month already slammed Zeid over his remarks. The response of the President, known for his incendiary remarks against his opponents, however, was tame.The President merely said then that Zeid was not familiar with democratic laws as he comes from a monarchical state.Malacañang has tagged Zeid as one of the reasons the Philippines withdrew its ratification of the Rome Statute, which established the International Criminal Court.<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/03/16/18/roque-blames-un-rights-chief-for-icc-withdrawal">Roque blames U.N. rights chief for ICC withdrawal</a></li></ul>Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque earlier said Zeid’s statement that Duterte should see a psychiatrist “convinced” the President “that there must be some kind of a conspiracy on the part of pressure groups and U.N. officials to shame him.”Roque said prior to Zeid’s remark, Duterte had promised he will face the ICC, which is now probing allegations of crimes against humanity against Duterte. However, the government felt that some lobby groups have been making strides in their effort to “convict him (Duterte) in the court of public opinion.”
