A complainant claimed LTFRB Executive Director Samuel Jardin demanded the amount in exchange for the franchise of several buses. The transportation department &quot;finds, after evaluation of documents gathered, that a prima facie case exists against [Jardin]&quot; for grave misconduct, graft and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service, according to a formal charge issued Wednesday. Jardin was directed to submit a verified answer with documentary evidence within 3 days. His alleged offenses are punishable by dismissal from service. The preventive suspension against Jardin would last for 90 days. Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade in a flag ceremony on Tuesday said 2 senior officials, then unnamed, will be suspended for alleged involvement in corruption. LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra meanwhile assured authorities that his agency would cooperate during the investigation.&quot;We leave it to the DOTr to resolve the matter quickly, objectively and fairly.
