Some of the fatalities, who attended the "Forever Summer" party hosted by a popular toothpaste brand, were found to have overdosed on party drugs.

Two people, Marc David Deen and Seergeoh Villanueva, were sentenced to life imprisonment and fined P5 million each.

The five were arrested at a suspected party drug laboratory in Parañaque City in 2016.

Executives of toothpaste brand Closeup and its parent company, Unilever Philippines, were separately charged for criminal negligence over the deaths. The event and security organizers of the concert were also charged.
