Nilinaw naman ni Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio na walang nilabag na batas ang pagsasagawa ng derby sa Matina Gallera dahil kumpleto umano ang papeles nito.Pero giit niya, pupwede pa sana itong napatigil.Sa inilabas niyang pahayag ukol sa imbestigasyon sa naturang derby, nakasaad ang sumusunod na timeline:Peb. 4, 2020 — Inaprubahan ng Sanguniang Panglungsod ang request para sa derby sa mga sumusunod na araw: March 7, 10 at 12.Marso 3, 2020 — Nag-issue ng permit ang Business Permit and Licensing Division ng lungsod para dito.Marso 8, 2020 — Naglabas ng guidelines ang Davao City na i-postpone ang mga pribadong aktibidad sa lungsod para maiwasan ang mga mass gatherings.Marso 12, 2020 — Inutusan ni Mayor Duterte-Carpio ang Davao City Police na ipasara ang lahat ng mga sabungan matapos nitong malaman ang tungkol sa derby.Pero Marso 9 pa lang, nagdeklara na ang gobyerno ng state of public health emergency sa buong Pilipinas. Ibig sabihin, may dalawang araw pang nangyaring derby matapos ang proklamasyon.Ayon kay Mayor Duterte-Carpio, nag-resign na ang head ng Business Permit and Licensing Division ng City Hall.“Duna gyud sila&#x27;y papers. Pero, 5,517 na lamang ang binabantayan sa kasalukuyan dahil cleared na ang 10,265.
