MANILA (UPDATE) - A 4.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Siquijor province Tuesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tectonic tremor occurred at 8:30 p.m., some 40 kilometers northeast of Maria town. It struck at a depth of 18 kilometers.
The earthquake was felt in the following areas:
Intensity V - Maria, Siquijor Intensity IV - Lazi, Siquijor; Panglao, Dauis, Baclayon, Garcia Hernandez, Jagna and Tagbilaran City, Bohol Intensity III - Enrique Villanueva, Siquijor; Loay, Bilar, Carmen, Cortes, Candijay and Duero, Bohol Intensity II - Pilar, and Trinidad, Bohol Intensity I - Dumaguete City; Mambajao, Camiguin

Instrumental Intensity I was reported in Sibulan, Negros Oriental.
Phivolcs said the quake would not cause damage nor spawn aftershocks.
