BENGUET – An engineering student died while three others were hurt after the van they riding was crushed in a landslide on Kennon Road on Thursday.

The lone fatality was identified Izeah Medalle, 18, from Baguio City. The wounded, Giovanni Medo, 30; Emelda Dacumos, 22; and Bong Bong Enteria, 30, were brought to Baguio General Hospital for treatment.

Kennon Road was closed for an hour for clearing of debris after the landslide, which struck at around 4:20 p.m.

Baguio and Benguet had experienced heavy rains before the landslide and authorities advised motorists to pass through Marcos Highway for safer travel.
