<figure class="op-interactive"><div id="IVS_ABS_Video_Widget_1_Container"><ivs-player id="IVS_ABS_Video_Widget_1" allow="autoplay" data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-wid="f5fb7bd1-3880"></ivs-player><script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script></div></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="~//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="~//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>MANILA - Vice President Leni Robredo on Thursday asked the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) to reverse its earlier decision on the ballot shading threshold in connection with the recount for the poll protest against her. </p><p>The Supreme Court, acting as the PET, had junked Robredo&#x27;s petition to consider as valid votes, those ballots whose ovals are shaded by at least a quarter of the way or by 25 percent.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/12/18/pet-junks-robredo-camps-bid-for-25-shading-on-ballots">PET junks Robredo camp&#x27;s bid for 25% shading on ballots</a></li></ul><p>Robredo filed the motion for reconsideration before the PET, accompanied by her lawyer Romulo Macalintal. </p><p>The Vice President said she wanted the PET to give her a fair fight in the recount by using the same standards of the Comelec on counting the votes during the 2016 polls. </p><p>The PET earlier said was not aware of know any Comelec resolution that mandates the use of the threshold standards claimed by Robredo.</p><p>The manual vote recount in connection with the poll protest filed by losing vice presidential candidate Ferdinand &quot;Bongbong&quot; Marcos, Jr. started last April 2. </p><p>Marcos&#x27; lawyer, Vic Rodriguez, said Robredo &quot;should stop accusing the PET of systematically reducing her votes and casting aspersions meant to debase its integrity.&quot;</p><p>He said Marcos filed a poll protest in June 2016, and that the 25 percent threshold rule was made by the Comelec in September 2016.</p><p>Marcos had claimed &quot;massive cheating&quot; caused him to lose to Robredo in the 2016 vice-presidential race by some 260,000 votes. -- <strong>report from Johnson Manabat, ABS-CBN News</strong></p>
