MANILA - An 8.7-kilometer boulevard connecting four towns in Camarines Norte had been inaugurated, and those who'd like to go on a road trip will definitely enjoy the view.

The Cory Aquino Boulevard, the longest in the country, passes through the towns of Mercedes, Daet, Talisay, and Vinzons.

Apart from seeing Bagasbas beach, a surfing favorite in Bicol region, those traveling on the boulevard will also get sights of Baybay beach in Mercedes, San Jose beach in Talisay, and Sabang beach in Vinzons.

The boulevard was built under the Tourism Road Infrastructure Program of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The government spent P915 million for the project.

Roderinck Gutierrez, Camarines Norte District Engineer said the new boulevard will improve locals' livelihood and boost tourism.

Camarines Norte is home to several beaches and Calaguas Island, a popular tourist destination.
