Czar Dancel, ABS-CBN News/file</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA — Residents of Luzon are mostly &quot;concerned for others&quot; amid the ongoing enhanced community quarantine that has forced people stay inside their homes to control the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).The survey, initiated by Radio Veritas and was conducted from March 15 to April 15, asked 1,200 respondents about their &quot;emotional disposition&quot; while being under the government-imposed home quarantine. Among the answers, 10 emotional responses emerged, namely: (1) Safe, (2) Worried, (3) Hopeful, (4) Bored, (5) Concerned for Others, (6) Helpless, (7) Relaxed, (8) Thankful, (9) Sad and (10) Stressed.<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2020/news/04/19/1.png"/></figure></div>When ranked accordingly, &quot;concern for others&quot; appeared to be the dominant emotion of respondents. &quot;This implies the &#x27;altruistic&#x27; predisposition of the respondents towards family members and loved ones, which are currently not with them physically. It may likewise be directed towards those in the &#x27;frontline&#x27; in our fight against this COVID-19 health crisis (who may either be a family member, relative, friend, acquaintance or compatriot),&quot; according to Radio Veritas. The group identified &quot;concern for others&quot; as a positive emotion. &quot;On the other hand, the predominant negative emotion at rank 3 is being &#x27;worried&#x27; thus implying the sense of anxiety this health crisis brings to the respondents. Such worry or anxiety may be suggestive of the health and economic concerns this health crisis brings,&quot; they said. The entire Luzon, home to about half of the country&#x27;s 100 million people, is under lockdown until April 30 to contain the pandemic.
