Moreno earlier announced that all residents of Sampaloc will be "strictly confined to their residence and are prohibited from going out of their houses" from 8 p.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. Saturday.

The district has "one of the biggest percentage" of COVID-19 patients in the city, Moreno said.

Street dwellers, meanwhile, may approach the city government for temporary shelter, Moreno said. Some 200 homeless have been taken in by the local government since Luzon went on lockdown, he added.
