Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File" src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2022/news/04/22/20200219-poea-ortigas-jc-1572.jpg"/><figcaption>Philippine Oversees Employment Administration headquarters on Ortigas Avenue, EDSA, Quezon City, Feb. 19, 2020. <em>Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MAYNILA — Inutusan ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III ang Philippine Overseas Employment Administration na ipagpatuloy ang operasyon habang isinasaayos pa ang bagong Department of Migrant Workers.</p><p>Ito&#x27;y matapos aniyang magkaroon ng magkasalungat na posisyon ang ilang grupo na maaaring magdulot ng kalituhan at makaapekto sa pagbibigay ng serbisyo sa publiko.</p><p>&quot;Under the law that created DMW, maliwanag na &#x27;yung mga agencies that are supposed to be absorbed by the DMW, will continue to function under the Department of Labor until such time na ma-meet &#x27;yung 3 condition,&quot; sabi ni Bello sa panayam sa TeleRadyo, Biyernes.</p><p>Hindi pa aniya fully constituted ang DMW dahil wala pa itong pondo mula sa 2023 General Appropriations Act, umiiral na implementing rules and regulations (IRR), at staffing pattern.</p><p>Sa isang memorandum, pinahintulutan ni Bello si POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia na maglabas ng mga angkop na utos at panatilihin ang operasyon ng ahensiya.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/20/22/dept-of-migrant-workers-mga-problema-ng-ofw-tinalakay-sa-kongreso">Dept. of Migrant Workers, mga problema ng OFW, tinalakay sa Kongreso</a></li></ul><p>Sa isang hearing sa Kamara noong Miyerkoles, naglabas ng pangamba si Blas F. Ople Policy Center president Susan Ople ukol sa umano&#x27;y sigalot sa pagitan ng kampo ni DMW Secretary Abdullah Mama-o at ni Olalia ng POEA ukol sa kung sino ang magpapatupad sa mga polisiya.</p><p>Hindi aniya nakakatulong ang sigalot sa pagitan ng mga ahensiya ng pamahalaan sa mga overseas Filipino worker.</p><p>Dahil dito, humiling ng opinyon ang migrant workers group sa Department of Justice upang tapusin na agad ang kalituhan.</p><p>Nitong Huwebes, sinabi ng POEA na <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/21/22/duterte-approves-department-of-migrant-workers-irr">inapubrahan </a>ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang IRR na binuo ng Transition Committee, na kinabibilangan ng iba&#x27;t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno.
