The PNP chief hopes that they get the needed accreditation for the testing center from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).“We are looking at the capacity (of) 180 tests per batch for 2 machines, maximum of 4 times a day,” he said.Dependents of PNP personnel who live inside Camp Crame, the headquarters of the national police located in Quezon City, can also be tested there.Gamboa said they converted the PNP&#x27;s DNA building to serve as area for the testing center. “Pero nagtayo pa rin kami ng separate building just, for that RTPCR, kasi ultimately, lilipat siya doon kasi nga pang-DNA nga ginamit namin,” he said. They are expected to be done with the infrastructure works by Sunday, and Gamboa said he already received a text message that RITM will start training the PNP on the aspect of molecular and biosafety of the testing center.“Pag naayos ito, then yung final test (is) magpapadala sila ng 5 samples na ‘di mo alam kung ano yun, and then it will be tested. They are also monitoring 74 probable and 596 suspected patients who are showing symptoms of the highly contagious disease.
