<p>MANILA - Medical workers fighting the novel coronavirus will get free motorcycle rides to and from their workplaces and <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/07/20/robredo-more-dormitories-available-for-covid-19-frontliners-in-metro-manila-nearby-provinces">dormitories </a>provided by Vice President Leni Robredo&#x27;s office, it said Friday. </p><p>A motorcycle company on Thursday lent 10 of its vehicles and helmets to those who stay in the dormitories, said the Office of the Vice President (OVP). </p><p>“Itinuturing naming magandang regalo ito, lalo na’t nataon ang paghahatid ng mga nasabing units sa kaarawan ni VP Leni,” the OVP said in its Facebook page.</p><p>(We treat this as a gift, especially since the delivery of the said units coincided with VP Leni&#x27;s birthday.) </p><p>There were no immediate details on who would drive the motorcycles and which dorms would get them. </p><p>The transportation department has temporarily <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/03/16/20/dotr-bans-motorcycle-backride-in-coronavirus-fight">banned backrides on motorcycles</a> to arrest the spread of COVID-19. </p><div> </div><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/VPLeniRobredoPH/posts/2818571374927179" data-width="auto"> </div><p>The Vice President celebrated her 55th birthday with a surprise lunch from her staff who posted videos and photos on Facebook.</p><p>Robredo thanked those who greeted her and wished for the safety of all Filipinos.</p><p>“Sana po OK kayo kung nasaan man kayo ngayon, sigurado nasa mga bahay kayo pero sana OK kayo,” Robredo said on the official page of the OVP. </p><p>(I hope you are okay where you are.
