PUP-College of Law ends nearly-2 decade Bar exam top 10 drought

<figure class="op-interactive"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/um97sZFKO7Y?enablejsapi=1"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>MANILA - For the first time in nearly 2 decades, a graduate of the Polytechnic University of the Philipines-College of Law joined the top 10 placers of the Bar exams, its dean said Wednesday.</p><p>Jun Dexter Rojas of the PUP law college placed 9th in the 2019 Bar exams with a score of 87.5765 percent, according to the Supreme Court.</p><p>Rojas is the first PUP graduate to enter the top 10 since the College of Law was established in 2001, said its dean, Atty Gemy Lito Festin.</p><p>The college in 2016 logged a 100-percent passing rate in the Bar exams. PUP is still verifying how many of its graduates passed last year&#x27;s Bar, he said.</p><p>Festin also described Rojas as a &quot;hardworking&quot; family man with a &quot;mature&quot; outlook on learning.</p><p>&quot;Kahit walang pasok pumupunta iyan sa eskuwelahan, naghahanap ng room o space para makapagbasa. Walang sinasayang na oras,&quot; he told DZMM.</p><p>(Even when there are no classes, he goes to the school to find a room or space to read. He doesn&#x27;t waste time.)</p><p>&quot;Lahat ng mga pinaghirapan mo, eto nagbunga,&quot; the dean also said, addressing Rojas.</p>
