Residents of the building were asked to evacuate.</p><p>&quot;As of this posting, no serious casualties were reported,&quot; said SMDC.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PdkauLVbVP8?enablejsapi=1" width="560"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>Two vans and 1 SUV, which were parked on the driveway, were also damaged after debris fell on them, authorities said. </p><p>Emergency response teams were deployed to the area. </p><p>Makati Mayor Abigail Binay said authorities deployed a bomb disposal team after receiving reports that there was a blast in the area. </p><p>Authorities meanwhile have closed off Nicanor Garcia Street, from Jupiter Street to Kalayaan Avenue, while they assess the building and clear the debris.</p><p>SMDC said in a statement later Thursday that the incident &quot;does not affect the structural integrity of the development and that the buildings are safe for occupancy&quot; and assured probe on its cause is underway.</p><p>&quot;The cause of the incident is under investigation and we will take whatever measures necessary to address the situation and avoid any recurrence,&quot; it said.<br/> <br/><strong>- Report from Jerome Lantin, ABS-CBN News</strong></p>
