Eighty-one others were confiscated through the conduct of post to post inspections, according to the PNP’s Civil Security Group-Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies.</p><p>“We assume that we&#x27;re 100 percent prepared,” Albayalde told members of the press. “But, of course, we cannot say that our preparation is foolproof. The only time that we can that our preparation is foolproof is after the election itself.”</p><p>The Commission on Elections, through the Resolution No. 10446, bans the bearing, carrying, or transporting of firearms or other deadly weapons during the prescribed 2019 midterm election period of January 13 to June 12 to prevent violence. </p><p>Available data from PNP since April 29 showed that 4,038 firearms and 37,035 other deadly weapons were seized from nearly 600,000 focused police operations for the elections.</p>
