<p>(UPDATE) The challenger for the mayoralty post in the town of Araceli in Palawan has been proclaimed winner in the midterm election via coin toss on Friday.</p><p>Former Mayor Sue Cudilla defeated reelectionist Noel Beronio in the best of three coin tosses by Election Officer Emil Alili.<script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></p><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/adolfreynoso/videos/2575026992516905/" data-width="auto"> </div><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/05/17/19/coin-toss-to-decide-winning-mayor-of-palawan-town">Coin toss to decide winning mayor of Palawan town</a></li></ul><p>Cudilla and representatives from Beronio&#x27;s camp as well as the Municipal Board of Canvassers and watchers from both parties were present during the coin toss.</p><p>The canvassing of votes on Thursday resulted in a tie for Beronio and Cudilla who both received 3,495 votes from 16 clustered precincts.</p>
